Job Summary:

S:US is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Social Services and Operations to lead our clinical operations at our shelter in the Bronx. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our clinical services, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage clinical operations, including supervising staff, developing and implementing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including healthcare providers, social services agencies, and government organizations.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support our mission and goals.
  • Provide training and support to staff on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our clinical services and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that all interactions with clients, staff, and community partners are respectful, professional, and culturally sensitive.

Requirements:

  • NYS Licensure (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW) required.
  • Master's degree in the human services field required.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in a large shelter or residential facility that provides comprehensive social services, housing placement, and job skills training to the homeless, mentally ill, and chemically dependent populations.
  • Knowledge of NYC Dept. of Homeless Services contract requirements preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • English/Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Social Work degree preferred.
