Position Overview:
The Transitions-Bronx Program is a specialized borough-wide prevention initiative aimed at assisting families facing challenges related to substance use and/or mental health issues.
The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the clinical casework and case management services provided by the team meet or exceed the expected standards of professionalism, while the prevention program empowers families to leverage their strengths for achieving their fullest potential.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Program Director
Work Hours: 35 hours, exempt
Salary Range: $66K - $75K, based on relevant experience and education

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Collaborate closely with the Program Director to oversee the daily operations of the prevention program.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise staff at various levels to ensure exceptional performance across counseling, supervision, documentation, and case management.
Respond to both internal and external requests for data and case information.
Actively collaborate to connect participants with other GSS programs and services as needed.
Work with Division of Child Protection (DCP), Family Services Unit (FSU) staff, Family Court Legal Services (FCLS) staff, and other service providers to make informed safety decisions.
Handle case-related crises with professionalism and urgency, including incidents requiring reports to the State Central Registry.
Program Implementation & Development:
Coordinate the intake engagement, assessment, and case assignment process, including participation in ACS-Child Safety Conferences to engage families for intensive services.
Participate in Clinical Diagnostic Team Meetings (CDTs) and provide clinical recommendations that align with best practice standards and contractual requirements.
Solution Based Casework:
assessment, family and individual level outcomes, action plans, documentation, and celebration.
Facilitate case consultations and provide support and guidance to ensure adherence to the tenets of SBC.
Incorporate SBC practices into all aspects of case planning and supervisory sessions.
Engage in ongoing SBC training, coaching, and the SBC certification process.
Compliance, Documentation, and Data Management:
Complete monthly supervisory case review notes for each case supervised.
Maintain oversight to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and mandates, particularly performance-based targets, program utilization, and casework contacts.
Monitor, review, and approve documentation for assigned workers, including progress notes, FASPs, court reports, and other assessments.
Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports and assess training needs, providing tailored assistance and referrals for training.
Qualifications:
MSW or related clinical master's degree required (e.g., MHC and LCAT); licensed clinical degree preferred.
Three years of supervisory experience in a child welfare setting preferred.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and clinical skills are essential.
Availability to work at least two evenings per week to provide supervisory support.
Possess strong inquiry skills and the ability to seek and share best practices to achieve program excellence.
