We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Insurance Producer to join our team at SouthPoint Risk, a member of Correll Insurance Group. As an Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for expanding our sales presence and generating new business through leads and referral sources.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through leads and referral sources.
- Document sales and prospecting information.
- Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements.
- Work directly with Account Managers to provide necessary client documents, checklists, and applications for new business and renewal business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Stay up-to-date on industry market trends and best practices through training and education.
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
- Property & Casualty Insurance License and/or Life & Health Insurance License is encouraged but not required. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to learn and thrive using their communication skills.
- If not licensed, must obtain Property and Casualty Insurance License within 6 months of employment. Correll will assist in scheduling courses and cover the application and licensing fees along with covering the cost for bi-annual license renewals.
- Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful, and be coachable.
- Possess an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
- Create relationships from a cold start.
- Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
