Role Summary

This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at our long-term care facility involves providing direct nursing services to residents. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, treatment administration, and medication management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement resident care based on physician directives and established standards.
  • Conduct daily assessments to evaluate the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Prepare treatment trays and assist physicians as needed.
  • Review and update care plans regularly to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Document resident care data accurately and in compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise nursing assistants and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Participate in care conferences and contribute to care plan development.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current LPN or RN license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Preferred experience in long-term care or clinical settings.
  • Current CPR certification.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Ability to perform nursing duties, including lifting and mobility tasks.
  • Strong observational and communication skills.
  • Capability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Work Environment

Regular interaction with residents and exposure to various health-related conditions. Safety and compliance are paramount, with adherence to health regulations and protocols.
