Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the section of Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health, performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks under direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements for faculty and staff.
  • Process reimbursements, manage accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the department's operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
What We Offer

The University of Virginia offers a competitive salary range of $36,000 - $40,000, commensurate with education and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

This is a restricted position, dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance. The position is located in Charlottesville, VA, and the University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.
