Join Our Team as a Pediatric Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated pediatric psychologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a pediatric psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents with a range of medical and behavioral concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a behavioral consultation-liaison service in collaboration with our current CL psychologist
  • Provide psychological evaluations for children and adolescents admitted for various medical and surgical concerns
  • Conduct short-term interventions for youth admitted to medical units or awaiting placement in the emergency department
  • Provide consultation to medical and interprofessional teams
  • Provide outpatient psychological evaluation and treatment for youth in an integrated subspecialty medical setting or in a new outpatient behavioral health clinic
  • Teach medical fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Participate in departmental and health system committees

Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent from an APA-accredited program
  • Completed an APA-accredited internship
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Virginia
  • Demonstrate cultural humility and interprofessional practice skills
