Environmental Remediation Specialist

At HDR, we are dedicated to providing innovative solutions for environmental remediation projects. As an Environmental Remediation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in conducting, supervising, or directing remediation engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include utilizing environmental engineering knowledge to perform engineering functions related to environmental investigation and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct remediation engineering projects, including utilizing environmental engineering knowledge to perform engineering functions related to environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Work on diverse remedial engineering projects with a wide range of contaminants in all types of media, utilizing innovative remedial technologies.
Develop scope, schedule, and budgets for remediation projects, working with project managers and clients.
Lead teams of staff engineers and scientists in preparation of remediation design deliverables, including engineering design reports, construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for environmental engineering projects, such as remediation design and implementation.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task.

Preferred Qualifications:
7 years of experience in remediation projects with a focus on remedial design.
Excellent communication skills and strong writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often with professionals across multiple offices.
Strong commitment to safety, including following health and safety protocols.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
Requires ability to travel.
