Job Overview

As a Registered Nurse with TAG MedStaffing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities. Your comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions will make a significant impact on the lives of those you serve.

Responsibilities
  • Healthcare Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to arrange and coordinate healthcare services, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Staff Training: Develop and conduct training sessions for staff on various health-related topics, including medical administration, hygiene, and infection control.
  • Disease Control: Identify, assess, and control communicable diseases, reporting to consulting physicians and implementing preventive measures.
  • Medical Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate medical documentation, administering medications as needed.
  • Supervision: Supervise and train Licensed Practical Nurses and less experienced RNs, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Emergency Response: Provide immediate first aid and respond to emergency situations, ensuring the well-being of individuals in your care.
  • Home Visits and Appointments: Transport individuals to appointments and visit them at home as requested, demonstrating a commitment to their needs.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience as an RN in community-based health services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Licensing: Valid NYS RN License and current registration.
  • Certifications: CPR Certification.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Equipment: Knowledge of equipment used by individuals receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices.
