Position Overview:

The Inventory Assistant plays a crucial role in the procurement of medical supplies and equipment through advanced materials management software. This position is essential in ensuring that all individuals accessing Central Service receive outstanding customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize materials management software to obtain necessary medical supplies and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff in Central Service.
  • Assist with data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the team.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in inventory distribution, with preference given to those with experience in a hospital distribution environment.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient typing skills at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to read and write clearly in English; communicate professionally in both spoken and written forms.
  • Familiarity with essential computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Capability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and positively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize workload, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Physical ability to distinguish colors, hear conversations, and see adequately for reading and computer work.
