Position Overview:

Role Summary:
D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Regional Financial Analyst for the Washington area. The ideal candidate will support the Regional CFO by performing quantitative analyses of financial data within the division. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting audits on budgets and projected costs for ongoing projects.
  • Completing financial research and analysis as assigned by the Regional CFO.
  • Preparing necessary reports and analyses for the Regional CFO.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Regional CFO and Controller in consolidating the Regional Business Plan.
2. Maintain the capital allocation forecast for all divisions within the region.
3. Review proposed off-balance sheet land acquisitions and collaborate with divisions on forecasting models.
4. Provide critical financial analysis to the Regional CFO.
5. Monitor divisional performance against key metrics such as Sales, Starts, Closings, Backlog, Gross Profit, SG&A spending, ROI, and Inventory Turn compared to budget and prior year.
6. Effectively communicate accounting needs with non-financial roles.
7. Prepare weekly and quarterly reports for the Regional CFO.
8. Assist in the annual budget preparation and updates.
9. Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to enhance customer satisfaction and the company's goodwill and profitability.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role directly manages two or more employees within the Accounting Department, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Appraising performance and addressing employee concerns.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of relevant experience or training.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Proficiency in MS Office and email.

Preferred Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $80,000, depending on experience, with potential for bonuses. D.R. Horton offers an excellent benefits package, including:
