Job Title: HVAC Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our unitary product sales, including VRV, rooftop, and split systems, in conjunction with the Sales Engineering Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and company policies and procedures.
  • Promoting strong communication and ensuring completion of project tasks among all parties on the projects to the project manager.
  • Responsible for overall customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope of work purchased by the customer is accurately communicated, ordered, and delivered in full.
  • Serving as the liaison between the customer, sales team, and equipment factories to troubleshoot and address technical issues and customer questions.
  • Effectively communicating with the customer to determine project timelines, scheduling, and required ship dates.
  • Analyzing customer and engineering requests for changes to the initial project scope of work and implementing these changes into the project as required.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the project financials from job costing through customer invoicing.
  • Assisting the sales team with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard and/or modified products.
  • Creating professional, technical submittal documents in accordance with the project drawings, specifications, and scope of work sold for submission to the customer.
  • Monitoring the submittal approval process to minimize impact to the overall project schedule.
  • Providing prompt, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing (Daikin Tools Quotations).
  • Interface with sales team for technical solutions, including use of Daikin energy analyzer and acoustics software as required.
  • Coordinate with Application Engineering and Technical Response Groups efforts to provide pre- and post-sales support.
  • Keep current on new products by attending technical training and sales meetings.
  • Process and execute orders in compliance with the project drawings, specifications, and scope of work sold.
  • Manage the post-sale process from shipping, start-up request, and warranty issues through project close out.
  • May assist with estimating of projects and creating professional, high-grade sales proposals from RFP/RFI from clients for Daikin Applied.

What You Will Do:

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and complete project scope of work.
  • Providing technical expertise to the sales team for product selection and application.
  • Creating professional submittal documents for customer submission.
  • Monitoring project financials for accuracy.
  • Assisting with technical solutions and sales inquiries.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer with:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of prior (HVAC preferred or related) experience.
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

DX HVAC System experience, AutoCAD experience, and Microsoft Office Proficiency are highly desirable.
