Job Overview

Position Summary

The Licensed Educator role is responsible for delivering instruction and support to students at the designated grade or academic level, ensuring adherence to established curriculum standards and compliance with educational guidelines set forth by the local educational authorities. This role is crucial in fulfilling AMIkids' mission to create a secure and productive learning atmosphere for students, fostering their social and emotional growth through the attainment of both academic and personal objectives.

AMIkids Panama City Marine Inst., Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Educator with a focus on English language instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student body, tailored to the specific course or academic level.
  • Follow established standards for curriculum implementation, educational guidelines, and quality assurance as defined by AMIkids and relevant contract providers.
  • Create comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and other instructional resources to meet educational goals.
  • Direct the learning process to achieve curriculum objectives, setting clear goals for lessons and communicating these to students.
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback; support students through proactive counseling.
  • Employ various assessment methods to evaluate student performance and adjust teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Integrate appropriate technology into the teaching and learning process.
  • Effectively utilize the AMIkids Personal Growth Model's Targeted Behavioral Interventions System.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all interactions.
  • Engage in professional development and collaborative meetings.
  • Implement necessary accommodations based on individual student needs as outlined in IEP, ELL, and 504 plans.
  • Identify and address the academic and behavioral needs of students through appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate educational records, including attendance, grades, and lesson planning.
  • Coordinate student activities in collaboration with educational leadership.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and conduct necessary parent-teacher meetings.
  • Supervise and coordinate field trips and special events.
  • Act as a mentor and positive role model for students at all times.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications as recognized by a national organization.
  • Complete necessary crisis intervention training and certifications as required by state and contractual obligations.
  • Keep all relevant certifications and licenses up to date.
  • Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, the relevant academic discipline, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching or related activities in the primary instruction area is required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Teaching Certification in the designated subject area.
