Certified Science Educator

AMIkids Panama City Marine Inst., Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Certified Science Educator to join our team. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to students in the field of science, adhering to recognized curriculum standards and instructional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Instruction and Guidance: Provide professional instruction and teaching to a diverse population of students in the field of science, as appropriate to the specified course or discipline and/or academic level.
- Curriculum Delivery: Adhere to established standards regarding curriculum delivery, educational guidelines, and quality assurance requirements as established by AMIkids and the applicable contract providers.
- Course Development: Develop course syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, experiential exercises, demonstrations, training aides, reference materials, and related resources to accomplish course lessons and objectives.
- Student Assessment: Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required; encourage students through proactive counseling.
- Technology Integration: Use appropriate technology in the teaching and learning process.
- Interpersonal Skills: Utilize and establish effective interpersonal skills.
- Professional Development: Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Accommodations: Provide appropriate accommodations based on students' IEP, ELL, and 504 plans.
- Interventions: Identify and provide appropriate interventions to meet the academic and/or behavioral needs of students.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate education records (e.g., attendance, grades, lesson planning, progress monitoring).
- Communication: Maintain positive relationships with parents; schedule and conduct parent-teacher conferences as necessary.
- Supervision: Actively supervise/coordinate field trips and special activities.
- Role Modeling: Serve as advisor and positive role model for students at all times.
- Certification: Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification by nationally recognized organization.
- Crisis Intervention: Attend and maintain appropriate crisis intervention training and certification as defined by state and contract requirements.
- Professional Certification: Maintain appropriate certification(s) and license(s).
- Special Projects: Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, the academic discipline being delivered, or related field.
- Experience: Teaching or coursework experience, or other similar activity in the area of primary instruction required.
- Certification: Possess and maintain current Teaching Certification in assigned subject area.
