Hardware Store Supervisor

The Hardware Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. This includes motivating the hardware sales team to drive sales and service through effective and consistent communication. The Supervisor must work closely with all management teams to identify areas of opportunities with inventory levels, processes, and hospitality to support the overall success of the yard.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct daily walks and communicate a game plan for the hardware team to uphold maintenance and in-stock expectations.
- Support the Store Manager in observing the hardware team and delivering real-time feedback on ways to improve hospitality.
- Work with the Store Manager and vendors to establish and maintain a backup source for high-demand items and ensure the right inventory levels to support customer needs.
- Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with staff, vendors, coworkers, and other department employees.
- Operate equipment when necessary.
- Work with the Store Manager to ensure Product Directory, Cycle Count, and company initiative commitments are achieved.
- Help create promotional signage and update digital monitors if applicable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Extremely organized and forward-thinking.
- Ability to develop and sustain professional relationships.
- Ability to perform math calculations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience.
- Proficiency with computer technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
- Forklift/Lift Equipment/Pallet Jack required.
