Job Title: Part Time- Overnight Residential AdvisorJob Summary:
DirectedLINK is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Part Time- Overnight Residential Advisor to join our team. As a Residential Advisor, you will provide shelter supervision and delivery of residential services to residents, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide custodial supervision of the shelter, including coverage of various areas of the facility.
- Support Case Managers and Supervisors in providing residential services, including tasks such as signing out TAP cards, packing and storing belongings, inspecting the facility for safety and maintenance, and logging medication.
- Build rapport with residents, work directly with them to address their needs, and supervise residents during mealtimes and chores.
- Monitor residents in common areas and bedrooms, and be alert to their surroundings even during one-on-one conversations.
- Function as Person in Charge (PIC) as designated, and provide support to Human Trafficking victims and residents with higher mental health needs.
- Coordinate and facilitate in-house group activities, and assist with supervision of residents during special activities and outings.
- Be timely and present at all scheduled meetings, including transitions, staff meetings, and trainings.
- Document residents' files, critical incident reports, and other necessary forms.
- Develop knowledge of current community resources and referrals, and communicate pertinent information to Case Managers, Supervisors, and Supportive Services.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma preferred, with relevant life and/or work experience considered in lieu of HS Diploma.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working with at-risk youth.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Computer literacy, including Word, Outlook, and ACCESS.
- Valid CA driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of Adolescent Development, Crisis Intervention, Multi-cultural Awareness, and CPR/First Aid.
