Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Room Attendant is to ensure that all areas of the hotel are cleaned to the highest standards, significantly contributing to the overall guest experience. This role involves addressing maintenance issues and managing guest inquiries or concerns while ensuring the privacy and security of all guest accommodations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The position requires working in various settings, including:

  • Guest Rooms
  • Service Corridors
  • Housekeeping Office

Work conditions may include:

  • Variable temperature environments
  • Different noise levels
  • Exposure to odors and fumes
  • Dust and allergen presence
  • Handling cleaning chemicals
  • Bio-hazard exposure

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Room Attendant will:

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest rooms, including bathrooms.
  • Dust and vacuum furniture, carpets, and drapes; change linens and make beds; sweep and mop floors; and manage waste disposal.
  • Restock towels and essential supplies in guest rooms, ensuring proper placement of toiletries.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for various surfaces, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain a well-organized cart and linen storage area.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Safeguard keys assigned to the position.
  • Return lost items to the Housekeeping Office for logging.
  • Follow all company policies, including safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Report any accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures relevant to the Housekeeping department and the hotel.
  • Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions with precision.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Well-groomed and presentable appearance.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.
