Position Overview

At C&S Wholesale Grocers, our mission is straightforward yet impactful: every team member contributes to nourishing local families and communities. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. Under the guidance of your supervisor, you will utilize handheld devices and forms to count and verify products, manage obsolete stock, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting precise cycle counts of inventory locations using handheld devices and updating systems as necessary.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Validating product dating within the warehouse and making updates as required.
  • Auditing inbound receiving documentation and performing SOP audits as directed by your supervisor.
  • Responding to inquiries from buyers regarding item checks in the warehouse.
  • Coordinating the management of obsolete and at-risk inventory, including vendor returns, donations, and recalls.
  • Assisting the ICQA lead with task allocation among team members and monitoring workflow to ensure efficiency.
  • Travel Requirements: None.
