Job Title: Production Supervisor

G.S. Precision is a global leader in the manufacture of critical components for the Aerospace and Defense Industries. We are a team of 700 dedicated people in facilities totaling 230,000 square feet in four integrated locations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment, planning and assigning work, implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the activities of the production floor by following established procedures and approved processes.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
  • Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Ensures effective employee relations, provides employee coaching and development, motivates employees, and assists with problem-solving.
  • Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provides regular progress reports to manager.
  • Tracks employee performance, attendance, and timekeeping, conducts performance reviews, discipline, accident investigations, etc.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or at least 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, equipment, production scheduling, and operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and customer specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, attention to detail, time management, multitasking, problem-solving, and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • Computer skills, MS Office, and manufacturing software.
