- Insurance Coordination: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Pre-Visit Preparation: Ensure that all necessary documentation and patient information is collected and organized prior to appointments.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with information on hearing aids, treatment plans, and follow-up care as directed by the audiologist.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, audiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless communication.
- Office Administration: Assist with general office tasks, such as managing patient flow, coordinating appointments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow-Up Care: Coordinate and schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure patients receive timely reminders.
- Patient Satisfaction: Continuously monitor patient satisfaction and work to improve the patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in audiology or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of medical insurance processes and terminology.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
