Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Client Support Specialist to join our team at First Insurance Group. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of client-specific plans and policies to effectively address benefit-related questions and concerns.
  • Investigate and resolve client claims issues, including diagnosis, procedures, and billing.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain medical records and resolve claim issues.
  • Assist clients with provider searches, appeals, and prescription benefit issues.
  • Log claim issues, service issues, and notes in our system.
  • Process online and paper eligibility for clients in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Participate in client employee meetings, answer questions, and provide support as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and special projects.
  • Maintain current client and carrier contacts listings.
  • Assist with renewal and mid-year timelines, reporting, and presentations.
  • Maintain client data storage and record keeping.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in a related business field or equivalent experience.
  • Health and life insurance license required or willingness to obtain.
  • Three years of insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented personality with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and forward-thinking, with flexibility and time management skills.
  • Confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA security guidelines.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment, with a typical interior work setting that does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
