About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our team at Atlas. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and other hazardous materials surveys to identify potential health risks.
  • Provide oversight during asbestos and lead-based paint abatement activities to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Collect and analyze data on site conditions and findings, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for upper-level staff.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential health hazards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience as an industrial hygiene technician or in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to asbestos and lead.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and technical/report writing skills.
  • Basic understanding of soil/groundwater sampling requirements and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment requirements.
