Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
  • Manage inbound calls from local private ambulance services and fire department ambulance services when transporting priority patients to the ED.
  • Monitor calls via a CMED radio for priority patients.
  • Utilize designated systems to direct incoming traffic.
  • Direct the incoming ambulances, SNF and physician referrals to the appropriate campus with the best ability to promptly evaluate and provide services to the patient.
  • Assist with the scheduling, managing, and transporting of patients being discharged or transferred from the hospital campus.
  • Assist with the scheduling of A-10, BH-1, and MIH services.
  • Exceed expectations for experience of callers in all communication methods (verbal or written).
  • Participate in performance improvement projects.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with other disciplines such as Communications Specialists, Charge Nurses, and ED Providers.
Qualifications:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing required.
  • BSN is strongly preferred.
  • Associate's degree in nursing may be considered. Must enroll in BSN within year.
  • BLS required.
  • 1-2 years of Critical Care Experience.
  • 3 Years of Emergency Department RN Experience.
