In this role, you will play a vital part in coordinating healthcare support for our guests. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and direct care to guests, adhering to the instructions of healthcare professionals.
- Effectively communicating any medical changes, needs, or concerns regarding guests to relevant stakeholders, including Residential and Clinical Vice Presidents/Directors, Senior Nurse Managers, and colleagues.
- Coordinating essential medical support, including emergency treatment, for our guests.
- Providing direct nursing care to all program guests.
- Training colleagues and ensuring their competency in addressing the specific needs and medical issues of our guests.
- Delivering technical training and ensuring colleague proficiency in the use of medical devices within the program, such as VNS and Thick-it.
Requirements:
- A Nursing Degree with a valid Massachusetts RN License, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- One year of relevant experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with MAP regulations and Department of Developmental Services regulations is highly advantageous.
- Satisfactory CORI background check.
