Responsibilities of the Commercial Property Accountant

  • Preparing monthly reports on the commercial property business, including all active properties the company works with.
  • Reviewing budgets for construction, including conducting monthly requisitions for contractors.
  • Complying with the development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Complying with internal controls policies and procedures.

Qualifications of the Commercial Property Accountant

  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in real estate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA, or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience working with an ERP system such as Yardi, MRI, or Deltek is a plus; strong Excel skills.
