About the Role


The Director of Facilities and Fleet will play a key role in the success of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. This leadership position requires a strong leader who can oversee the management of the organization’s facilities and fleet. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in facilities management, with a focus on collaboration and leadership.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management plan that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facilities and fleet, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Lead a team of facilities and fleet staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of their responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and maximizing resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity within the facilities and fleet team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements



  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on leadership and collaboration.
  • Proven track record of success in managing budgets and resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Emotional intelligence and a collaborative leadership style, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
