For over six decades, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program has played a crucial role in supporting national defense initiatives. We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a program with a storied legacy and a promising future, ensuring the safety and security of our nation and its allies.
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Component Engineer to join our dynamic team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will take charge of Electrical Component Engineering, overseeing the creation and implementation of the program's Electrical Electronic Electromechanical and Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts management strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and engage in technical assignments related to the design, manufacturing, and testing of Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical / Electrooptical (EEEE) components.
- Spearhead the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEEE components.
- Generate technical reports and specifications, assess suppliers, and analyze testing outcomes.
- Collaborate with various disciplines, including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Work with a range of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, and more.
- Travel to engage with suppliers and government entities to ensure that electronic component selections align with quality and performance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in the design and analysis of electrical components and circuits.
- Knowledge of EEEE parts design, functionality, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering.
- Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
- Experience in major program milestone reviews.
- Understanding of the effects of nuclear environments on EEEE components.
- Experience with failure analysis and corrective action processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Work Environment: This role allows for a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities.
