Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach part-time in the Department of Engineering & Technology at Texas A&M University-Commerce. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching up to seven semester credit hours within disciplines such as Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Technology Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop course materials for various engineering and technology courses.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback.
  • Develop and manage class syllabus.
  • Collaborate with department faculty to ensure curriculum alignment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching field.
  • Knowledge / Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with current relevant professional credentials.
  • Teaching experience at college or university level.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Prior industry experience.
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience.
