Position Responsibilities:

As a Senior Electrical Component Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and engage in technical assignments related to Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical / Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering.
  • Oversee the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEEE Parts.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test results.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Work with a range of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and integrated circuits.
  • Engage with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality and performance standards.
  • Support the development of junior engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Formal training and experience in the design and analysis of electrical components and circuits.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in EEEE parts.
  • Experience in reviewing engineering drawings and providing guidance to design and testing teams.
  • The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Experience in failure analysis and root cause analysis related to EEEE parts.
  • Understanding of the full life cycle of integrated circuits and discrete components.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Work Environment:

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Flexibility in work hours is supported, with various alternate schedules available.
