Position Overview:

The Senior Supply Chain Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing supply chain operations to guarantee the effective and economical flow of products from suppliers to end-users. This position entails formulating strategies to boost supply chain performance, nurturing partnerships with suppliers and vendors, and spearheading initiatives aimed at refining logistics, inventory oversight, and overall supply chain productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Enhancement:

· Formulate and execute plans to optimize supply chain functions, minimize expenses, and elevate efficiency. Scrutinize supply chain metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities and propose actionable solutions.

· Supplier and Vendor Relations:

· Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate agreements and oversee performance to guarantee quality, cost-efficiency, and prompt delivery of products and services.

· Inventory Oversight:

· Supervise inventory levels to maintain sufficient stock while curtailing surplus inventory. Design and implement inventory management protocols to align supply with demand.

Logistics Management:

· Oversee logistics and transportation operations to ensure timely and precise delivery of goods. Collaborate with logistics partners to address challenges and enhance shipping routes and methods.

· Interdepartmental Collaboration:

· Partner closely with procurement, production, and sales divisions to synchronize supply chain efforts with organizational objectives. Facilitate communication and teamwork across departments to promote seamless operations.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

· Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain activities. Compile reports and present insights to senior leadership, emphasizing trends, challenges, and recommendations.

Risk Assessment:

· Recognize potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Continuous Development:

· Lead and engage in initiatives aimed at refining supply chain processes. Stay informed on industry advancements and best practices to implement innovative solutions.

Marginal Job Functions:

· Undertake additional projects as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is advantageous.

· APICS CPIM Certification is a plus.

Experience:

· 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, demonstrating a successful history of optimizing supply chain functions and managing supplier relationships.

· Proven track record in Supply Chain with a preference for procurement experience.
