Industrial Engineering Process Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Process Designer to join our team at Andersen. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing material and information flow processes within projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify unexpressed customer needs or customer problems and develop potential solutions.
  • Design and implement end-to-end integrated processes that meet project deliverables, including new product implementation, capacity initiatives, and portfolio expansion.
  • Support the buildout of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for new products and processes within the manufacturing environment.
  • Integrate new software and hardware technologies into manufacturing to support production team members and improve efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT systems experts and manufacturing team members.
  • Develop material, inventory, and information flow processes for the plan, make, source, and deliver strategies defined by business needs.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
  • Design and procure material storage systems, material handling equipment, and computer hardware on medium to large scale projects.
  • Build reciprocal working relationships with people from across the organization and suppliers.
  • Communicate new ideas, project status, and results to project team and leadership through organized presentations that promote dialogue and understanding.
  • Develop new concepts and ideas that reduce overall costs across the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in project leadership, supply chain, IT, operations, or manufacturing/industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience in material and information flow systems and processes such as ERP, MES, and lean methodology.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with change management strategies.
  • Cross-functional exposure preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support business needs.
