About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Merchandising Professional to join our team at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our retail partners, maximizing sales through product knowledge and merchandising expertise, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and Maintain Direct Warehouse Sales (DWS) Store: Ensure that the DWS store is stocked and maintained with products for customer purchases, and that inventory levels are accurately tracked and reported.
  • Build and Develop Retailer Relationships: Foster strong relationships with our retail partners, understanding their business needs and developing strategies to drive sales and growth.
  • Maximize Sales through Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Southern Glazer's products and competitive spirits and wine products, and use this knowledge to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Merchandise Product in-Store: Work with our retail partners to merchandise products in-store, ensuring that products are displayed in a way that maximizes sales and customer engagement.
  • Assist Customers with Sales: Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with sales and answering product-related questions.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately track and manage inventory levels, ensuring that products are available for customer purchases and that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Unload, Receive, and Verify Products: Ensure that products are unloaded, received, and verified accurately, and that any discrepancies are reported and resolved promptly.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Industry-Related Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a sales or merchandising role, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including fractions, algebra, statistics, and basic calculus.
  • Microsoft Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, develop charts, and formulas.
  • Wine and Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of wine varietals, distribution, and leading spirit categories.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to regularly sit and operate machinery, such as a forklift, and to frequently lift/lower, push, carry, or pull 56lbs.
