About the Opportunity

Vail Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and providing education and training needs specific to clinical systems pertaining to Operating Room and Perioperative services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with staff/clients to identify specific training and educational needs for the clinical staff and practitioners related to the care of patients, in the perioperative setting.
  • Develop and implement competencies, tools, programs, and curriculum designed to meet the educational and training needs of the perioperative clinical staff and practitioners and incorporates standards of practice, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practice for best practice.
  • Implement orientation programs for new clinical employees.
  • Design orientation programs for new employees.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop educational materials and programs.
  • Continuously monitor and report effectiveness of programs and tools implemented, revising as needed based on organizational feedback and patient outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with peers, department leadership, clinical staff, and patients.
  • Serve as a role model for embracing organizational change and process improvement.
  • Utilize a variety of presentation and facilitation skills to deliver content specific to educational needs.
  • Ability to set and meet objectives and to complete work with accuracy and within organizational time frames.
  • Participate in unit and organizational quality improvement processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
  • Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
Requirements
  • Five years nursing experience
  • Two years Operating Room nursing experience
Education
  • Minimum of Associates Nursing degree for positions hired after 7/1/2018
