The Advanced Practice Nurse plays a crucial role in supporting the supervising physician in the comprehensive medical and surgical care of patients within their designated practice. Practice Area: Hand, Wrist, Elbow & Orthopaedic Trauma
Classification: Full-time, exempt position eligible for benefits.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $130,000
- Works in partnership with the attending physician to assess and manage orthopaedic injuries and associated conditions in both clinical and surgical environments.
- Handles administrative responsibilities pertinent to the assigned practice.
- Executes procedures within the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice as directed by the supervising physician in the clinic, operating room, and emergency room, including first and second assisting duties.
- Contributes to preoperative evaluations and patient education.
- Conducts initial patient interviews and assessments.
- Facilitates preoperative consultations and completes necessary surgical documentation and coding; drafts post-operative notes and orders for the supervising physician.
- Establishes and nurtures effective relationships with patients, families, key stakeholders, facility staff, and collaborating physicians.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervising physician.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and effective workflow management skills.
- Maintains a professional demeanor towards patients and fosters a collegial working relationship with all clinic and hospital personnel involved in patient care.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Excellent critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
