Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at Gratius Enterprises Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

The Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for accurately and timely verifying patient insurance coverage and hearing aid benefits for multiple insurance carriers, IPAs, medical groups, and CAP hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact various insurance companies to obtain detailed and accurate information about patient eligibility and hearing aid benefits.
  • Complete insurance verification forms, enter electronic notes, and communicate results to providers through our electronic practice management system.
  • Work with administrative teams to ensure correct and accurate information is received and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Meet or exceed daily quotas.
  • Assist in educating and serving as a resource to clinics and other teams.
  • Determine member benefit coverage and discuss benefits with clinics, team members, and administration.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy and procedure, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Persistent and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of insurance and billing experience, with understanding and prior experience with insurances such as PPO, HMO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to take direction, work well alone, and in a team environment.
  • A thorough understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is a plus.
Work Environment

This is an in-office, full-time position. Standard days of work are Monday through Friday, and hours of work may vary from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as needed.
