We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team at Pacific Medical Inc. in Tacoma, WA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients while assuming front desk and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to our healthcare team, including data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, procedures, and tests, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and efficient care.
  • Insurance and Billing: Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and resolve billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient demographics, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Receive and process medical supplies, equipment, and other materials as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a medical administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
