Overview:

Our esteemed client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a talented Production Designer to enhance their creative team.

Position Type: This is a hybrid contract role, requiring 40 hours per week.

Role Summary:

The Retail Engagement and Marketing (REM) division is dedicated to the impeccable creation and execution of exceptional experiences and communications across various media and platforms. We are in search of a detail-oriented production designer who possesses a keen eye for aesthetics and precision. This individual will collaborate closely with design leads, creative teams, and marketing stakeholders to produce visually appealing and coherent work for both internal and external initiatives.

This position necessitates a fusion of design and production skills to actualize concepts with meticulous attention to detail. The Production Designer will be responsible for preserving the original design intent throughout all phases of execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist creative and design teams in project execution, ensuring that designs are executed with pixel-perfect accuracy. Collaborate effectively across teams to leverage your expertise and experience for optimal project results.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential design and production challenges related to localization, geographic considerations, image adjustments, scaling, resolution, color accuracy, and finishing touches.
  • Plan and adapt designs for various digital and print outputs, ensuring alignment with core creative elements while accommodating different aspect ratios, scales, languages, and geographic nuances.
  • Develop comprehensive production guidelines, detailing design direction and production specifications for both internal and external collaborators.
  • Exhibit resourcefulness and flexibility in addressing project demands, while enhancing workflows, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and quality in design and production tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow creative team members, vendors, producers, and directors.
  • Clearly articulate ideas to senior creative and project management personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in production design within an agency or corporate graphic design setting.
  • Thorough understanding of the creative process, with exceptional design and production capabilities, consistently delivering high-quality work with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in mechanical production, with expertise in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, along with advanced skills in photo retouching, Sketch, and Bridge.
  • Experience in implementing creative design direction across multiple mediums.
  • Ability to work from sketches, rough digital layouts, and verbal instructions.
  • Capable of recognizing when work deviates from expectations and seeking guidance from senior creative staff as needed, while actively pursuing feedback and adjusting work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong partnership skills, maintaining professionalism under tight deadlines and in uncertain situations, with experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The compensation for this position is competitive and may include benefits such as PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) options, contingent upon meeting specific service length and hour requirements.
