Position Overview:

OR Colan is in search of a dedicated, full-time, non-exempt Right of Way Title Specialist to join our team for a regional project. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to operate from their home office, provided they reside in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, or Ohio, and be prepared for extensive travel throughout the region.

Compensation for travel will include per diem and mileage based on requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Title Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough searches of real estate records, utilizing both online resources and county courthouses.
  • Retrieving necessary documents such as deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, tax cards, and plats to complete comprehensive title searches.
  • Compiling findings into a client-provided Title Report while ensuring the accuracy of all title information.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in title searching and title history.
  • Experience in analyzing titles and title reports, verifying property ownerships, mortgages, liens, and judgments.
  • Ability to identify restrictions that may affect titles and property use.
  • Proficient in reading legal documents, plats, and easements, and producing a chain of title.
  • Strong understanding of real estate terminology.
  • Competent in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, and familiar with Dropbox or similar platforms.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have access to an iOS or Android smartphone for system access.
