Key Responsibilities:
1) Support estimating personnel in assessing and interpreting actual expenditures compared to projected costs throughout the Project Lifecycle Management Process.
2) Collaborate with Project Management and other stakeholders to facilitate, lead, and execute project revision activities, including the formulation of estimate versus EAC cost driver summaries and the generation of updated estimates.
3) Assist in enhancing efficiencies within project cost assessments.
4) Contribute to data management and improvements in information accuracy within the estimating division.
5) Cultivate and exhibit a strong economic and business insight, encompassing knowledge of engineering & design, procurement, contracting, estimating, project management, construction, and startup protocols.
6) Demonstrate strategic thinking, planning, risk evaluation, and prioritization of project tasks.
7) Understand the application of contingencies (both risk-based and percentage-based) and how field conditions influence these factors.
8) Employ reporting tools effectively.
9) Train and become proficient in utilizing estimating software within the department.
10) Show comprehension of construction timelines and their impact on project costs.
11) Exhibit knowledge of construction contracting methodologies.
12) Engage with various Standards groups as necessary.
13) Develop and showcase conflict resolution skills to address disputes and enhance collaboration, always aiming to act in the best interest of the organization.
14) Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the company and department.
15) Provide mentorship and training to junior staff as appropriate, demonstrating growth in multiple areas and the ability to guide lower-level analysts through a structured training plan if designated as a mentor by management.
