Office Administrative Coordinator

This role is situated within the Appeals Division, which plays a critical role in the operational framework of the organization. The Appeals Division is responsible for ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures while addressing various administrative challenges.
Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Support Assistant, your primary duties will include:
- Evaluating current and proposed office protocols to ensure alignment with organizational policies, clarity, and to prevent redundancy or conflicts.
- Understanding the perspectives of Area Directors regarding various administrative challenges that do not necessitate extensive technical knowledge of Appeals issues.
- Monitoring and analyzing trends impacting administrative functions and proposing new or revised procedures to mitigate potential issues.
- Assisting in operational assessments and special initiatives directed by the leadership team.
- Collecting and analyzing data, conducting research on diverse topics, and preparing necessary documentation for reports and correspondence.
- Establishing and maintaining systems for managing both electronic and physical files, ensuring efficient access and organization.
- Safeguarding confidential records as required by leadership and managing sensitive documentation.
- Generating regular and ad hoc reports in accordance with established formats and data sources relevant to the program.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. Citizenship or National status with proof of citizenship.
- Successful completion of a background investigation, including a criminal history check.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service, which includes providing comprehensive office support, data analysis, correspondence preparation, and effective communication skills.
- Typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.
Education Requirements
A relevant degree from an accredited institution may be required, or equivalent experience may be considered.

This position may require a probationary period and is subject to various employment policies. The role may offer flexible work arrangements, including potential telework options based on eligibility and supervisor approval.
