**About the Team**

Our global Fanatics Retail, In-Venue, and Special Events division spans North America, Europe, and Asia, supporting major leagues and events including the NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, NCAA, Ryder Cup, UEFA, and prominent European Football Clubs. Our teams are dedicated to creating a seamless shopping experience, whether at home, at a game, or during major sporting events, through online, mobile, and physical retail outlets. Each store or event is designed with a tech-driven retail approach, allowing us to respond in real-time to capture significant moments in sports and ensure product availability for fans.

**JOB SUMMARY:** The Retail Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring operational excellence, executing promotions, managing special events, enhancing fan engagement, building effective teams, and driving profitability at their assigned retail location(s). This role includes coaching and performance management for all staff members. The Retail Operations Manager may report to the General Manager, District Manager, or Regional Director and will work a rotating full-time schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and extended hours during events.

**General Duties and Responsibilities:**

  • Develop strategic plans and initiate actions that align with company objectives and promote operational excellence.
  • Implement all company initiatives through clearly communicated objectives and team priorities.
  • Present store strategies to Retail Leadership, Corporate Business Partners, and Team Partners to inform and educate them on business operations, efficiencies, product performance, and customer feedback.
  • Act as a liaison for Team Partners and channel requests to Fanatics Business Partners as necessary.
  • Analyze metrics, daily operations, and P&L to identify opportunities and create initiatives in collaboration with the store leadership team to enhance operational excellence.
  • Adapt quickly and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while leading change.
  • Maintain the highest levels of fan experience and incorporate Fanatics values into daily operations.
  • Recruit and develop a strong team while fostering a culture of high performance and engagement that translates into an exceptional fan experience.
  • Assess internal talent and recommend succession plans for employees to Human Resources, District Manager, and/or Regional Director.
  • Delegate Manager on Duty responsibilities when appropriate.

**Education, Experience, and Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of three years of retail management experience, preferably in flagship or high-profile stores.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ethics, both professionally and personally.
  • Experience managing a team of both exempt and non-exempt employees is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail point-of-sale systems.

**Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

  • Proven ability to identify business trends and collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop appropriate plans to drive results.
  • Strong understanding of the fan base to ensure actions support market trends and needs.
  • Extensive experience with retail finance, including P&L management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead operational excellence.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to company and departmental standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction to achieve goals and assign tasks to all employees while offering support and follow-up as necessary.
  • Experience managing employee relations in partnership with human resources to comply with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment that fosters the development of others and supports constructive conflict resolution.

**Physical Demands:**

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Game Day scheduling may involve exposure to various weather elements if assigned to an outdoor location.
