Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Resource Specialist to join our team at the Akin Family Resource Center. As the first point of contact for participants, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment, providing essential support and resources, and connecting families with our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to participant inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist participants in accessing concrete goods and resources, including referrals to external services and programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, ensuring seamless referrals and collaborations.
  • Enter data accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records and reports.
  • Perform light clerical duties, supporting the daily operations of the Resource Center.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of experience in social or human services preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
