SCF is a healthcare organization dedicated to serving the Alaska Native population in our geographical service area. Our mission is to promote wellness through health services, and we are seeking a skilled Revenue Cycle Specialist I, II to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of revenue cycle operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve billing and coding issues, and implement process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of revenue cycle data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for process enhancements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Health Care Financial Management, or related field preferred.
  • At least six years of revenue cycle experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education, required for Revenue Cycle Specialist I.
  • One additional year of revenue cycle experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education, required for Revenue Cycle Specialist II.

Additional Requirements for Revenue Cycle Specialist II

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Health Care Financial Management, or related field; or professional certification in Patient Accounting, Coding, Health Care Financial Management.

Employee Health Requirements

Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is mandatory. You will need to complete job-related health screenings and immunizations before starting employment. Jobs classified as Health Care Personnel (HCP) positions require specific immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
