We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Central Florida. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by efficiently registering and processing patient information.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Eligibility Verification: Ensure patients are accurately registered for all service lines, perform eligibility verification, and obtain pre-cert and/or authorizations.
- Financial Arrangements and Collections: Make financial arrangements, request and receive payments for services, and perform cashiering functions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain a close working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication and collaboration between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments.
- Customer Service: Provide timely and courteous service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive experience.
- Productivity and Quality: Meet and exceed productivity standards, maintain accurate records, and adhere to quality standards.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of relevant healthcare experience, including customer service and collections experience.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer applications.
