Job Summary

The Access Center Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access to specialty appointments. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patients and providers to schedule appointments efficiently and accurately.
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate registration and billing.
  • Discuss financial obligations with patient families and collect payments or escalate to Financial Advocates as needed.
  • Monitor patient work queues to ensure timely claim filing and registration.
  • Collaborate with other Nemours departments to meet patient access needs.
  • Provide superior customer service and represent Nemours in a positive, professional manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • More than one (1) year of customer service, medical office, or call center experience required.
  • NAHAM certificate (National Association of Healthcare Access Management) - CHAA preferred.
