About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to work remotely in the Lexington, KY region, embodying Instron's commitment to exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily visits to client locations to execute a variety of services, including calibration, preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on a diverse range of Instron products.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly field reports, documenting all activities at customer sites, along with weekly and monthly expense reports.
  • Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
  • Manage regional responsibilities for servicing clients along the Interstate 64 corridor, covering areas from Huntington, WV to west of Louisville, KY, across industries such as biomedical, composite, and industrial.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 30% of the time, with occasional travel to other locations within the United States.

Qualifications:

  • A 2- or 4-year technical degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent military/trade school training, with knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret basic technical information related to mechanics and electronics, along with familiarity with PCs, operating systems, and Windows applications.
  • This position requires a high degree of autonomy, along with strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Prior experience in field service is highly preferred.
  • Experience in performing preventive or corrective maintenance on servo hydraulic systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with materials testing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in delivering hands-on and classroom training on technical subjects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of automation systems is beneficial.
