Position Overview:
This esteemed medical institution is in search of a board certified or board eligible physician specializing in Wound Care to take on the role of Medical Director for our Wound Care service line.

The organization is recognized as the most extensive healthcare provider in the region, operating multiple hospitals and a variety of medical services across several counties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Hospital-based employment

- Conduct clinical assessments, evaluations, and on-site treatments for all wound types, adhering to Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Maintain clear and standardized documentation for each patient.
- Develop personalized care plans for patients and discuss them with the Treatment Nurse.
- Notify facility staff of potential scheduling delays with as much advance notice as possible.
- Write individual physician orders as required by the facility.
- Provide education, training, and mentorship to the Treatment Nurse and relevant facility staff.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital bylaws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications:
- Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Surgery.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with referring physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
- A strong commitment to quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development, and team building.
- Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and productive environment that encourages collegiality and innovation.
