Position Overview

Your Role in Changing Lives

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at U.S. Renal Care, you will play a vital role within a collaborative team, providing care and performing delegated treatment activities for patients. You will operate under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) for individuals experiencing renal failure.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Interaction. You will engage directly with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Your duties will include collecting patient data before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatment, concluding treatment, and obtaining blood samples as directed by physicians.

Technical Responsibilities. You will uphold quality standards by preparing machines for hemodialysis, ensuring thorough cleaning and disinfection post-treatment, and conducting safety checks while documenting results for quality assurance, adhering to all established protocols and regulations.

Safety and Compliance. You will implement appropriate safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment. Under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations. Participation in mandatory staff meetings and ongoing education is expected.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Genuine interest in healthcare and patient care.
  • Prior experience in healthcare settings such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.
  • Comfort with mixing medical solutions according to established protocols.
  • Ability to differentiate primary colors.
Additional Requirements
  • Successful completion of the U.S. Renal Care training program approved by the Medical Director, demonstrating competency within the designated timeframe.
  • CPR certification is required within the specified period or as mandated by state regulations.
  • Patient Care Technician certification must be acquired through an accredited state or national program within the stipulated timeframe and maintained in good standing.
