Health Coverage Enrollment Advisor
The Health Coverage Enrollment Advisor is responsible for conducting personalized enrollment sessions with clients, both via telephone and face-to-face, to deliver essential information regarding Salud's services and policies. This role assists clients in navigating the application process for various health coverage programs and insurance options for which they may be eligible.
This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of remote work (conducting enrollment sessions over the phone) and in-person meetings at Salud clinics. The expected work distribution is approximately 50% in-clinic and 50% remote.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting Wage: $19 to $21 per hour
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

The role of the Health Coverage Enrollment Advisor is vital in ensuring that health coverage is accessible and affordable for both patients and community members. The programs and insurances that the advisor assists clients in applying for include, but are not limited to: Health First Colorado Medicaid, Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), Connect for Health Colorado insurance plans, and the sliding fee scale discount programs Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) and Salud's Clinic Rate program. Enrollment sessions are available through tele-enrollment (over-the-phone appointments) as well as in-person at Salud clinics. Advisors may be required to work from home conducting tele-enrollment and travel to clinics for in-person enrollment sessions.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Health First Colorado Medicaid, CHP+, CICP, and Connect for Health Colorado program regulations is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and internet research.
- Ability to articulate complex health coverage concepts in an understandable manner for the general public.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and proactively address barriers to client enrollment.
- Awareness and sensitivity to the needs of low-income and ethnic minority communities are essential.
Education:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate's Degree or two years towards a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a related field or performing similar duties is required.
