The successful candidate will engage in a variety of essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare standard monthly journal entry documentation and accurately record transactions in the general ledger.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including prepaid expenses, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, and accrued taxes.
- Execute monthly bank reconciliations for all cash accounts.
- Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger and prepare monthly depreciation and amortization schedules along with journal entries.
- Assist in financial analysis in preparation for executive management reviews of monthly financial statements.
- Lead research and analysis on accounting-related issues and projects.
- Report and facilitate the payment of monthly sales and use tax to the relevant authorities.
- Continuously assess potential areas for enhancement in reconciliation and reporting tools and practices.
- Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience is necessary.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles is essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft-based accounting systems is preferred (e.g., Great Plains, MS NAV, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills are necessary.
- Candidates must be detail-oriented and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with month-end close processes is a plus.
