Key Responsibilities

The Lead Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance of the respiratory therapy team, ensuring compliance with established protocols and procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the orientation and training of new staff members.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and facilitating professional development.
  • Managing staff schedules and overseeing special projects.
  • Administering both critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures as directed.
  • Coordinating respiratory services with other medical departments.
  • Serving as a technical resource for team members.
  • Ensuring efficient departmental operations and resource utilization.
  • Monitoring service quality to guarantee optimal patient care.
  • Providing direct patient care as needed.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification.
  • State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
